Free-lance computer technician. Doing just about anything that needs done.

- System Administration
Currently receiving credit for the administration of the Advanced Computing Lab
at Alderson-Broaddus College. My duties include upkeep of the web server I built
for running FreeBSD and apache and administering the user accounts for programming classes.
I also teach an introduction to Unix seminar for Dr. Iwona Wojciechowska.
Present

PC building, repair, software installation and support, misc. troubleshooting.

Skills
- Familiar with various operating systems including Unix (extremely proficient), Linux
(all major distributions), FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, MS-Dos, Windows95/98, MacOS, Minix,
QNX Realtime Platform, GNU Hurd, VMS, Plan9, Oberon and pdp-1 lisp (through simulation).
- Have used several programming languages including C, C++, Common Lisp,
Scheme (useful for cgi programming), Pascal, Oberon, csh, sh, m4, perl, html and tcl.
- Other: Unix networking, Sendmail, Postfix, firewalls, NAT, ppp (server side),
dhcp (client side on a Unix systems). I have also installed caching dns on several servers
and set up httpd (apache).
Other Interests
- I hold a brown belt in Tae Kwon Do and am considering joining the Kung Fu class that
recently started in Phillipi. I enjoy sky diving, skiing, hiking (through Death Valley during
high school), and yoga.
- Computer security is fascinating to me. Used OpenBSD to lock down my home network. (firewall)
- I can also cook up a mean stir fry.
